Din Din Eatery

We had a desire to intertwine modern and traditional Chinese ideas, and from this, DIN DIN Eatery was born. Provided with the bones, we renovated the entire interior- designing the layout and carefully selecting the right furnishing. The bowls and cups were handcrafted; the counter a custom design with a walnut finish, adorned in beautiful teal tiles. We wanted this restaurant to tell a story.

The second hand furniture, wishbone chair style contrasting with the modern, bold colours were all intentional design choices to reflect the idea of Chinese fusion. The red, teal and bright yellow color palette exudes Chinese street food authenticity. The detailed illustrations reflect a traditional Chinese art style. They work together in harmony to acknowledge the history of the past while inviting the possibility for new stories of the future.
