In the interior and fit out of Penang Street food, we have crafted an immersive, real-life experience of a unique Malaysian street-side restaurant. Teeming and doted in cultural and traditional elements of ancient and modern Malaysia, we have curated a dining experience that anyone in New Zealand can enjoy. By drawing in people through visual and atmospheric cues, we can share the special and traditional flavours of our homeland with others.

We have blended the elements of Malay establishments that make them unique and infamous for both Malay individuals and people who visit the nation. Combining metal mesh, neon lights, we craft a welcoming, inviting space reminiscent of street-side restaurants. The bamboo-woven pendant lights, window decals with traditional patterns, and the bar, designed to represent the nations distinct culture, establish an environment that pays homage to Malaysia’s history, people, and traditions. These elements create an authentic, unique dining experience that will encourage clientele to indulge in photography, celebrate special occasions, and simply spend a relaxed evening with friends and family.

The brown linen booths will look like they have been plucked from the old, rickety metal street cars in Malaysia, further building on the authentic immersive experience of dining in a street-side eatery in Malaysia.

We have created the colour palette, harnessing the powers of green, orange, and red. These unconventional colours represent Penang’s mission of cherishing their rich and colourful traditions and conveys an open-minded, innovative attitude, translating to an establishment that welcomes all.

Penang crafts a unique and special dining experience that combines ancient traditions and culture with modernness of forward-thinking and initiative.
